For many couples, it can be easy to get caught up in the hustle of daily life. Before you know it, you and your partner are merely functioning rather than "being one" with each other.


Your communication becomes mainly about the necessities of daily life and you can never seem to find the time to intentionally re-connect and rejuvenate the relationship.

Relationships require constant work and if we aren’t intentional about caring for our relationships, we can become detached from our significant other, feeling more like roommates or colleagues than romantic partners.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Couple Doing Yoga Exercises

The class will be a slow-paced flowing vinyasa where couples will be guided to assist each other in each pose of the sequence, along with breath work that helps you to connect with your partner on a deeper level.


The poses will be both static and dynamic symmetry where both couples will utilize the strength and sensitivity of one another.


This is an all levels class. No prior yoga experience is required. Just come with an open mind and a desire to connect with your partner.

Join Maxine Choy as she teaches you how to breathe and flow together on the mat so you can find greater ease and balance in your relationship and off the mat.


Partner yoga can make your experience more rewarding and can intensify the experience while providing an excellent way to strengthen your relationship.

We will start off the evening with a meet and greet with instructions about the session, followed by a 1 hour yoga session. Then we will conclude the evening with complimentary wine and hors D'oeuvres and prizes to be won.

Hi, my name is Maxine!


I've learned two valuable lessons in life.... your comfort zone is your enemy and starting is the only way you will make any progress.


I consider myself both a dreamer and a doer, a creative, compassionate and humble soul. Now that I've given you the fluff, here's a little more about me.


I am a Certified Heath & Nutrition Coach and 200Hr Yoga Instructor and when I'm not doing those two things, I am travelling, planning events and retreats and creating content.


I embarked on my yoga journey to find ways to challenge my body to do more and also to calm my mind. Soon after practicing it on a regular basis, it allowed me to be more patient with myself and become more confident and happy with who I am as a woman. Overall, it has made me put my life into perspective so I can create a better life for myself.


During my time teaching, I discovered that not many people practiced yoga on a regular basis and also not many couples do it together.


During the pandemic, I started teaching couples yoga for my private clients. Soon after I realized how necessary it was for relationships, especially when both partners lead busy lives.


My clients would share with me how yoga has brought them together and reignited their bond. They also said it significantly improved their intimacy.


Since then, I spent many nights thinking of ways in which I could create a space for couples to practice yoga with their partner and feel supported while doing so.


I've created this class for couples to feel comfortable with yoga, while at the same time having fun, whether you are new to yoga or advanced.


I'm excited to lead this couples yoga class with you and your partner. I know you will enjoy it and that it will leave you both feeling more connected with each other....just in time for Valentine's Day.
